The Frederick Douglass Community Center is a vital hub for children, youth, and families on the Upper West Side—especially those living in the neighboring Frederick Douglass Houses.
We provide safe, year-round opportunities that nurture academic success, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being. Our programs are built on proven youth development practices and decades of experience supporting New York City kids both in and out of school.
The center features a full gymnasium, outdoor playground, and dedicated classrooms for after-school, teen, and community programming.
We are proud to serve as a Boys & Girls Club of America site—giving young people access to nationally recognized programs that expand their horizons and strengthen their futures.
