Kids having fun in the woods

Recovery Summer

Children’s Aid – like many other organizations and coalitions across New York City – is deeply concerned about what summer will look like for young people in New York City, especially given the devastating cuts to summer camp and summer employment programs.  We would like to engage partners in the nonprofit, government, and philanthropic sectors to discuss what it would take to quickly develop and fund programming to meet the academic, social-emotional, health, and home needs of as many children and youth as possible from school age through early adulthood.

We hope you will join us for a virtual town hall meeting at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 9 to move this work forward.  We plan to share our latest thinking about our proposed planning process and invite your talent, experience, and expertise towards strengthening the approach and identifying next steps. Please register here to receive meeting details.
