If you are unable to attend our benefit but would still like to participate in our live auction, simply place an absentee bid (also commonly referred to as a written or commission bid) by Tuesday, November 5 and a Children’s Aid proxy bidder will bid on the item for you. An absentee bid left in advance takes priority over the same bid amount in the room, and bids will be prioritized by the order in which they are received. The proxy bidder will try to win the item for you at the lowest price they can.
You may place an absentee bid through the Children’s Aid Events Office by calling 212-284-4591, 917-286-1531, or by emailing events@ChildrensAidNYC.org. Placing an absentee bid will require you to complete and return an Absentee Bid Form and enter your maximum bid amount. The form also serves as a binding contract for payment should your bid be successful.
