New York City has cut more than $9,000,000 from community school budgets at the last minute— in a break from the normal process, with no transparency on rationale—leaving 33,000 of the city's students without much needed services right before the start of school.

Help us restore the more than $9,000,000 in critical funding to City Year New York and 28 other nonprofits organizations that provide services that are vital to 33,000 students, their families, and communities.

• Share on Social Media: #Savecommunityschools Have youth, parents, teachers and principals share messages, call and write to your Council Members to raise awareness of the cuts.Tweet throughout the day between the hours 11am and 1pm this week and use #SAVEcommunityschools. 
• Call your Council Members to let them know you the value these programs and would like funding to be restored to the Office of Community Schools.
